My Seven Tier Language Learning Goal

Tier I: Native Language:
U.S. English

Tier II: Professional Mastery (25+ years as a professional translator):
Arabic*, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish

Tier III: Proficient (complete grammar, advanced vocabulary, can understand most spoken language and a wide variety of texts, can express ideas fluently):
Bengali, Catalan, Danish, Dutch, Hindi, Indonesian, Norwegian, Persian, Swahili, Swedish

Tier IV: Upper Intermediate (advanced grammar, upper-intermediate vocabulary, can comprehend TV, movies, news reports and novels and can interact easily with native speakers):

Tier V: Lower Intermediate (intermediate grammar, intermediate vocabulary, can understand main points of texts, TV and movies with dictionary support and can give simple explanations and opinions):
